and this is another one of those times.....

Last week, as I was getting ready to take off for the weekend. I'm chatting with my boss about a small problem that came up in one of the client sites we deal with and he asked me if I had a few minutes to have a sit down with him. ("Oh great" I think "who's upset now") and he hands me an envelope. Confused I open it and it's a gift certificate for $250.... (Actually is one of those on-line things that I'll be able to order the store cert's from, so I get to pick where I spend this.) I was thinking I'd prefer cash, but as La pointed out to me this way it avoids taxes. :-)

I had a great weekend with B., and A had a good weekend with her friend. The highland games were interesting, and I had fun helping out.

Then not more than 15 minutes ago my boss pages me on the radio, and comes by the site I'm workig at. He and I sit down and he hands me another envelope.... ("Hunh", I think " This can't be good he just gave me good news last week", and I can see an official seal through the envelope.....)

I'm getting another raise..... $2K/year..... :-)
