buzybee06 just posted about her and her husband's recent home insulation project. He did a great write up of it including pictures (with circles and arrows, and a paragraph explaining what each one was to be used as evidence...) :-)

I've been looking at the costs of those IR camera's for a while now... Damn I wish they weren't so expensive...

Can't you rent one? (Camera shops rent all kinds of stuff) Or find out if the people who do the free energy audits use something like that?

Yeah, and the rental/lease options are also not cheap... (Much less expensive than purchase, but still a couple of hundred)

my goodness. For that price you could get a contractor with one AND the benefit of their experience. Or you could be all community organised and get ten people to chip in for it and take pictures of everyone's house within the rental period. Then at least people'd have before pictures.

I am kinda of thinking about doing it and letting friends/family borrow it to defray the cost... Just thinking about the up front...
