Yes I know it's Wend. But This is the first day back from my weekend, and the yo-yoing that is my life continues....

So Friday was graduation here. Half my Dept was out, and I had a couple of meetings scheduled and a couple that I needed to arrange. A was sick, and had been for a couple of days. Things worked out pretty well at work, and I got to get out of work a little early so I could run home and get A some cough syrup. I also managed to get over and get the Oil and Tranny fluid checked on my "new" car since B and I were going to NYC to run some errands.

Sat morning I go to pick up the papers for my new car, and let the dealer get the inspection done. This is where things start to go wrong....

The car fails to pass the inspection due to a hole in the muffler. (It had gotten worse over the cousre of the week, and I'm not sure it was there when I left the lot on monday)
The dealer is good and say that they'll take care of it when I get back from NYC next week.
Ok So I head back to B's place and we get the stuff were bringing out to NYC loaded into the back of my SUV, and we get on the road.

We're driving along and everything seemds pretty good I take I90 to I84 to I684 to I287 to I95. (There are less cops on that route and I drive a "little" fast). It's at this point that around 4:30PM Sat afternoon, my "new" car lost its frount/left wheel (not just the tire the whole wheel). I had noticed a little wobble and slowed to about 75Mph, and got into the middle lane on I95. Somehow all of the lug nuts had worked themselves loose, and the wheel left the car and bounced over the median into on comming traffic. As I'm seeing the tire go into the high speed lane, the car tips forward, and crashed onto the wheel hub, and brake rotar. I managed to get the car to the shoulder without any further incident. An NY State trooper was pulled up almost imeadiately and called it in to be towed. Fortunatly no one else ran into the wheel, which the statie went back and retreived for us. The repair shop couldn't start looking at it until monday, which B had already taken off, so I called in and left messages. B and I took the train the rest of the way into Manhatan. I called the repair shop monday morning, and they were going to look at it that day, they jerked me around most of the day and had to order parts so it wasn't ready until tuesday afternoon, but I did manage to get getting my passport taken care of.
At some point I'll need to take it back into the dealer for them to fix what is left, and get them to cover the cost of the repairs.
So much for my quiet weekend....
