I'm finally getting around to installing Mac OX X....

Besides running through all the software update to get the latest greatest....

Are there any particular Apps I should start looking for as well

that depends on what you want to do.

there's ijournal and xjournal for livejournal clients. i prefer ijournal, but your opinion may vary.

fugu is a definitely useful one if you need to use SFTP/SCP/SSH Tunnels.

safari is up there as far as browsers go, but i think softwareupdate will poke you about that. camino is the mozilla based browser for os x and is also pretty good.

i haven't really installed much outside of the standard suite of commercial apps that everyone knows and loves (photoshop, dreamweaver, office).

a .mac account would prove useful. the palm software too.
