What a weekend......
Apr. 9th, 2001 03:04 pmSome times I think my weekends are too full. :-) But in some ways I wouldn't have it any other way. (Ok it's my form of running away from thinking about things this weekend brought up anyway)
Saturday I thought I had my game (turns out I was wrong about the dates it's next saturday)
So I drop A off at work and head over check my mail find out I'm wrong. Ok get a little more caught up on mail than I planned and go kibitz the other game they have running.
Grab a quick bite with the group between their games.
Go pick A up from work, and head over to a friends going away party.....
La did a wonderful job setting this up. (Ok their was an impressive amount of alcohol there) :-)
and I think the best quote of the night would have to be "Carpet" (followed by La and S falling into uncontrolable fits of laughter) Ok you had to be there to see the two of them feeding off each others giigle fits..... :-) But for those of us who were it was worth it.
It got to be late and I offered to give E a ride home. I drive A home first (This was about 2 am) She had meeting at work the next morning. Then I drive E home. I had forgotten how long it takes to get to his place so I get home at 4 am. Opps
Sunday I take A to her meeting and check out getting the taxes done. Yay HR Block will takes us as a walkin. It's good to have it done and out of the way, but I hate that it brings up issues thinking about how old my daughter is getting.
Gah, I don't like thinking about that. (for a bunch of reasons)
Anyway, get the taxes done, and I owe the feds $970 (thank you B) I was hoping I was wrong and that the pros would find something I had messed up or missed.
Spent the rest of the day with A shopping and getting dinner.
