Unfortunately, this seems to be the year of broken streaks. For example, the 'Sox took a perfectly good 86 year old streak and broke it. (I'm not complaining!) But in the vein of football... Prior to the Superbowl, a well known video game company has a player from each of the two teams match up over a game of electronic football. Until 2004, the team that won the electronic version went on to win the live Superbowl. Of course, this year, Ty Law (of the Patriots) lost the game against his Carolina Panthers opponent. The well known outcome was that the Patriots took home the Lombardi Trophy anyway.
