In sex-party case, most charges gone
A judge has dismissed the case against one defendant, and dismissed
all but two charges against a New Hampshire man in a sadomasochist
party raided by police. Attleboro District Court Judge Francis
Crimmins Jr., who last week threw out virtually all the evidence in
the case, has dismissed the assault charge against Stefany Reed, 39,
of New York, at the prosecutor's request. Reed was charged with
spanking another woman with a wooden paddle during the party July
8. Crimmins also dismissed 11 of 13 charges filed against party host
Benjamin Davis, 24, of Hudson, N.H., at the request of the
prosecution. The remaining charges, assault and battery on a police
officer and keeping a house of prostitution, were continued to July
