B is so very grand...

After putting it off for over a year B had jury duty today...

but being her she didn't get the regular one day one trial deal... No, She got impaneled on the Grand Jury 3 days a week for 3 months... and a 4 Mondays...

That happened to me, sorta.
I'd never gotten called, except for Boston, at my dorm address, 2 years after I'd moved back home. THEN I get called for Grand Jury Duty, which would have been (In Dedham) every Friday for 3 months, and other days if needed. I did not make this jury, although it was close-ish.

(and oddly enough, the next cycle, or the one after that, one of my friends landed the same call, except she got on. The way she tells it, she got a three day weekend every weekend for 3 months. She stayed at her BF's on Thursday, went in from 9 to 2, then was free after that until Monday AM. Bitch.)

Having said that, let me remind you that my REWARD for that, was getting called for FEDERAL jury duty, which means my appearance, and not being enpaneled, meant zilch and I got stuck on the WEIRDEST case for way too long during tax season, on the heels of my vacation. Work is STILL creeping out from that that needs doing.

It could be very interesting for her. You get to hear a lot of stuff on the Grand that you don't on the full jury.

it does suck the left one tho.....
