What a week

lensmanWell It all started (at the beginning of the month actually, but thats another story) but this part only started last thursday.
It stared to get kinda long so....
Work:
I'm supposed to be in one area and then the second project I'm supposed to be on that day get off to an early start, so I can't get much of the first done. (Beside the fact that its in an area that I don't particularly like working for. The customers there are a nit-picking bunch of whiney asses)
I get the second project going only to find the backup server decided to crap itself out. (Ok It's only a backup, but it's still anoying) I setup the primary with all the printing stuff they need and leave
I get called back on monday their printing still isn't working at all. Ok go in to find that the people who setup the printer HW didn't do it right so it's no wonder nothings reaching them.
Friday: We have a group meeting that takes most of the morning, waste of time since I don't think anything will come out of it. The I go pick up the server for the long weekend project. Should be simple install new drive into the array re-install os and restore user fils from backup
Well The HD install goes ok. The os install bombs. What oh the damb array needs to reformat the drives this takes quite a while (see previous post) It stared the beeping on Friday night.
After saving the universe (ok the game hasn't quite reached that point yet). I had fun going sideways on my gm again. Ok he gives us some of the clues the characters need, but sometimes he does it in ways that the characters don't get, and in others he leaves other clues he hadn't intended to letting the characters make intuitive jumps that he hadn't planned on.
I come back and the format's done So I start the OS install, but soon have to leave so I can get home have dinner and A and I can head up to Di's party.
A and I get a little snippy with each other before heding out. (Both of us running late) A made some really yummy cup-cakes and made a small cake for us out of the leftover batter. :-)
It was a really good party. The costumes were good. I couldn't stand to be in mine too long as it was way too hot, and A's mask wouldn't stay in place.
sunday I was back into work again finish the os install and start the user file restore.
While I'm doing that I call B to say hi. anthoer old friend of mine is also there with her new-born. (She is another poly person, who I happened to hook up with after my divorse. we had been friends before that for years.) She is having problems in her marridge, and started crying to both B and I. I tried to help console her a bit. I still care for both her and her husband, and had no idea this was as bad as it has apperently become. There was no idication of this when I saw them last month. I rush to get over there but don't make it before they have to leave.
What happened sunday night my mind is starting to go. A and I were supposed to go to a movie, but exhaustion started to creep up on me.
monday I had to be in a coup-le of places at once. Fixed the printing issue started the next phase of the server restorechecked in on one group who will be starting a new project to switch over to using encrypted connection over the network vs the shitload of serial lines they currently use. I get to look really smart for asking if anybody had thought of the bandwith issue since thier location doesn't yet have 100Mb connections Three bldgs sharing a 10Mb connection. Stay at work late cause the restore failed fortunately its a restartable restore and I can run it from where it failed.
tuesday my morning is shot setting up two new G4 laptops. The afternoon is shot trying to recover data from over a year ago that they think was on the server that had been reformatted. Arrrgggg!!!!! Was at work late on the project from hell Migrating a Novell Network to NT/2000 But that is starting to go smoothly. The idiots have their fingers out of my project for now, but they'll be back. And I finally got to replace my ever dying cell phone finally. :-)
