Yeah I was thinking about this on my drive home and I think it could be built/scripted as a set of vehicles in SecondLife, or one of it's open-source alternatives, such that when the Avi "sits" in the cockpit; movement controls transfer to "Mech". Team voice or Text chat can be a private group chat session. This could also mean the Mechs could even possibly end up being user customizable (Easily for paint jobs), but I think it could also work for armor/weapon systems. Further customizations could even be done on Avi helmet/HUD interfaces....

Well, keeping in canon, it's unlikely that HUD would be all THAT customizable, as ROM burning was practically lostech to average mercs in 3059, let alone 3015.
