What a friggin BAD way to start the day

lensmanJust as things were starting to look good. Life, love, work.... It was starting to go my way.
and in less than 1/2 an hour the universe desiceds to dope-slap me upside the head, and remind me of my past mistakes.
Which is just a wonderful way of saying I got served with a summons this morning.
Quietly sleeping
*Phone rings*
Ummm hello.....
Is this _______?
Yes
This is constable ______ . I have a summons for you.
Hunh?
When do you leave for work?
Umm What time is it? Oh in half an hour.
I'll be right by to drop it off.
*finish waking up, get dressed, knock at door*

Look at the wonderful little present I just recived. Why look my Ex-wife wants more money and thinks I have significant amounts to be sending her.
If she wants more money why dosen't the psycho-bitch, oh say get a real JOB!!! or STOP spending the child support that I am paying on her failing little business ideas.
Oh but that would mean getting off her bun-bun filled arse.

Date: 2001-11-29 08:08 am (UTC)From what I can tell there's not a whole lot they CAN do. The system is geared to "protect" the rights of the mother and child, and we know they'd NEVER abuse those protections.

Date: 2001-11-29 09:24 am (UTC)Meanwhile, what a lawyer can do is take some of the burden of stress off you. That's what s/he gets paid for. They do the talking in court when this thing has it's hearing date for reconsideration of the amount paid. And it can be pointed out that you already pay a shitload, AND that mom lives with Mommy and Daddy and her situation hasn't changed so she doesn't need more money because she doesn't fend for herself out of her own choice because she's a spoiled freeloader who won't give you your legal rights to see your own child! :-)
