Jan. 11th, 2001 09:51 amWhat a weird way to start the weekend
I just got some bad news last night, and it's leaving me feeling blah.
An old friend (Who I haven't seen in a few years) was killed last night by a car as he was walking home from Revere along somewhere along Rt 16.
We were never all that close of friends, but it's still just hitting me in a kinda weird way.
I hope I can shake this before everything starts tonight, there too much a have/want to do.
On a more positive note: It turns out one of the people I work with in another Dept here was on the TLC show "Junkyard Wars".
For a show tat was based in the UK it sure had a lot of New Englanders in it.... ;-)

Date: 2001-01-11 04:22 pm (UTC)I think I understand what it is like when someone you know--were friendly with--dies.
My roomates had a friend they studied with in college all the time. She was always over (they were pre-meds.)
I just found out recently that she died--a random, horrible, tragic death. She got burned by cooking for herself...then lost a leg to infection...then died.
I was just stunned. She was very, very young.
Smart. ambitious. And though we werent very close she had been a part of my life.
Again, I am sorry.
