Torpedoed.......

Well that was a nice long meeting where anouther group in our dept just (imo due to no fault of their own, but more due to politics) just basically torpedoed an approx $12K proposal. and said they do most of it for free...... (It's really not free they didn't even really dispute our numbers, but thier group is funded and we have to recover all our costs)

Arggg, I hate turf disputes. It would be nice if we could get a clear definition of the cases where they'll do the free work so we can just point our customers there, and not be made to look like idiots.

but isn't that why they pay you the big bucks. . . so you won't mind being made to look like idiots as you laugh on the way to the bank? It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. Tag, you're it. :-<

Nah, they pay me the big buck 'cause I normally don't look like an idiot.....

It's just annoying 'cause I know they didn't intentionally set out to make us look bad....
If they had done this intentioanly then I could be mean right back at them with a clear conscience.....
