This just isn't going to be my week......
Start off with a god damn parking ticket on the side street I have been parkig on for WELL OVER a year.....
and more problems with client computers (one I've been working on since 10:30 AM)....
There just doesn't seem to be an end in site today...

Date: 2003-08-18 03:30 pm (UTC)everyone that was parked on the street on sat/sun got one, all through H***** as well; but since no cars were parked there by the time i took J to work sunday, we couldnt tell if all the ones that park down by Mass ave had been ticketed as well.
FWIW, I did drive around the whole block looking for parking signs, as well as checking on the Arlington Website:
http://www.town.arlington.ma.us/town/arfaq.php#faq7
"Overnight parking is not allowed from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. on public streets in Arlington, except for emergencies. In those situations, call the police information number, 643-1212. (DO NOT CALL 911 FOR OVERNIGHT PARKING REQUESTS OR OTHER NON-EMERGENCY CALLS!) Police usually will not ticket your car that night. In snow emergencies, no on-street parking is allowed for 24 hours after the snow emergency is declared. Local television and radio stations broadcast emergencies that have an impact on school closings and parking.
(Note: There is a large municipal parking lot near Route 60 and Mass. Ave., across the street from the Minuteman Bike Path entrance. There is also a smaller lot behind Not Your Average Joe's restaurant, Mass. Ave. Both parking lots charge 25 cents an hour during business hours, and you can purchase tickets from machines in the lot. Both lots are free weekends.)"
So, what I would contest would be "what is considered a public street, since it is NOT listed by definition ANYPLACE on the website."
Basically, with the slew of tickets given out, this is definitely a "nuisance" ticket, especially since they only did it the one night, toward (ooh) the end of the month. :)
But, yeah, I'll send my ticket in with yours!
