Toshio Okada, the "Otaking," Tokyo University lecturer, producer, and anime screenwriter of the hit anime Otaku no Video is at MIT! He will explain how Japanese animation is made and how a small band of fans (otaku) managed to break into the industry and form Gainax (Neon Genesis Evangelion). His film credits include the seminal Wings of Honneamise and Nadia, and his printed works include Introduction to Otakuology and The Hesistant Road of the Otaku.

Hey maybe we could have both, and get an Anime made of goths jello wrestling..... Okay a fan made anime, and think of all the "research" we'd have to do to get perspectives right, and the proper lighting effects as jello gets squished into... ;-)
