Weekend

Well like everyone else the theme for the weekend was SNOW....

Friday started off going pretty good.
Work was good. I had completed one massive project (a spread sheet showing 150 NT4 to 2K domain migrations)... Color coded with current statuses, ("with circles & arrows and a paragraph on the back...") :-)

Had a good meal with roaming, and grovegoddess.

Then in for a quiet night since we had tickets to see the extended LotR:FotR for sat afternoon, so we watched the snow a bit before bed.

Woke up, roaming and her ex were shoveling out the first 9 or so inches of snow that had hit.
I went down and helped get my truck unstuck and took it down the raod to get gas and see who driving was (It's nice havig a 4x4). Got back and we finished getting enough shoveled, before getting ready to head to the movies. roaming's friend decided to cancel on us as they hadn't even plowed her street yet.

We were of course late in getting ready and out the door.

roaming had forgotten the printed ticket info so we went around the block. There was a lot more slipping and slidding. ( I guess the 4x4 didn't engage the second time, I thought the light was out, but It turns out the button is just quicky about which side you use). But this was enough to cancle our movie plans. So we decided to take a nap before heading out to <dancer & bunicula's party.

But this also got nixed, and we stayed in and made dinner.

Sunday was of course more snow. I had an Arisia meeting but didn't get dug out in time for getting there.

roaming Had a concert to go to for a friends daughter. got enought of the driveway finished in time to get her to that. I was supposed to meet up with grovegoddess but those plans fell through as well. (sencesing a theme for the weekend yet? Best laid plans...)

and to top it off the drive into work this morning was ridiculus. It doesn't seem like Cambridsge did much plowing in some spots. Alewife was down to one lane in a couple of places, as was Mem Drive. which for a monday morning commute was just stupid.
