My boss just told me that the higher ups are breaking our team up...
I'm not out of a job yet, but while the outlook is't gloomy yet. It's certainly getting overcast...

Time to start polishing the resume....

Wheee off to the big meeting now to let the whole group know....

Maybe they won't let you go. You could start looking around MIT to see if another department could use your skills. You have a lot of people you have worked for and they might want to keep you there.

Yeah, did you go to the talk today? The new VP of IS&T doesn't give me a good vibe at all. How tactless do you have to be to crack jokes in the same breath that you tell 300 people that you plan to lay off 20% of them come next week. Ha ha ha ugh...

No I didn't...

I had already previously scheduled the day off so I could help run a Sci-Fi convention this past weekend...

I can't believe he was telling jokes at the meeting though... Now I guess I'm glad I wasn't there....
