Birthday Weekend Report

lensmanYup this last weekend was my birthday.
Thank you all for the well wishes. I had a great time getting away, and A got me a really cool gift.
So Thursday night we packed and got everything ready. Friday we go to work, and both A and I get out late. Of course there were all these skiers on the road..... We left Boston almost an hour and a half before gaelen, and thanks to the traffic got up there a mere 15-20 minutes before he did. :-/
D has to work the next day so he's asleep when we get there. So a quick set of hello's and it's off to the jaqcuzzi. :-)
Before heading out A gives me my birthday presents a little early. Some massage oil, some cute funny strety plastic robot things, and best of all a zippo lighter engraved with my net handle. :-)
The other guest this weekend are morning people. So N is making breakfast at 9am. I stumble out of bed just as they are finishing. Yummy food though, and I only realllly have to wait for the bacon as N doesn't want to cook more untill the other non-morning person (gaelen) gets up.
N gives A and I a quick tour of the repainted family rooms, and we watch a little TV. Finish breakfast and off we go for a nap.
Wheil we're upstairs N, G, and d get ready to go out for a trek in the snow the little one is in N's backpack carry-all as she's helping d put her snowshoes on. The little one rocks herself and the carry all over and crashes face first into the mud covered pavers. Getting quite a black eye.
Needless to say N wasn't very happy with this. But the little one is OK She just has quite the shiner. (You'd have to see it to beleve it)
Being that it's St patties day A and I starrt drinink around 1-2, and I'm making some strong Alabama Slammers. ;-)
Sat Night N makes a wonderfull Roast beef dinner with a Garlic soup, and a local wine called Glogg. :-) (It was suprisigly good, as it had a hint of cinamon to it. Ok really more than a hint but you get the idea)
After Dinner D finally gets home, He and N get the Baby to sleep everyone head out to the Jaqcuzzi again. D Had made a pitcher of Long Island Iced Tea. And then when he went back and made a second pitcher of Alabama slammers. I got pretty trashed. :-)
N and I were closing up the jaqcuzzi and the cover got cuaght and knocked a glass into the water, and I slip on the ice as I'm reaching to get the cover uncought. Fortunately I didn't feel a thing.
Then N pull out a suprise birthday cake for A and I (It was A's birthday a little earlier in the month). Ok It was a suprise for A I knew about it, as I was the one who asked N to make a cake for her. :-)
D pulls out a nice 18 year single malt, and an imported rum that tastes like a good single malt (that was wierd, but good)
Sunday was another sleep late day the we drove home.
And then this morning I had my work review. :-) I done good.... :-)
Ok I had been stressing over it, as I hate doing these things I know I'm doing well, but I still stress. Go figure.
Well now off to fight another fire. Somebody crashed their server.
