Okay so While I was out (Okay so not the TV Show, but damn close) It turns out that my study/computer room got a complete surprise redo by B and friends... Take a look here...

why yes, I DO like red. We've been talking about it forever, but I never got up the ooomph to clear out all the debris, etc. So while I was away, she had a few friends come over, clear the decks, and paint, faux stone, lay in new carpet, etc. like madwomen (and one man, her ex, who lives downstairs). She says, "NO WAY that While You Were Out thang gets done in just two days!" Apparently she had to call in sick two days to get it finished before she came out to San Diego to meet up with me. I didn't understand why she was so tired having had two days off!

She did a wonderful job on the whole room....

Even more impressive was the fact that she cleared out all of her old magazines etc.. It's too bad I didn't have the before pictures to show just how much she did...

jammed it into my study (which I now can't get into), the dining room, the hallways, the porches. I figure I have the rest of the summer to contend with the rest of the house, I'm not on a deadline. :-)
