Okay an assasination attempt I can believe... This would be done by the same group who sponsored the guys at grassy knoll....
But the minute that is tried (and it is not garenteed to succeed) then Kerry is placed in the same light as JFK, and he gets the support and backing of most of the US, including the military types... Because we've all had THAT legend drilled into us too... On the flip side if it were to occur, then John Edward gets put into power.... But either way Shrub looses on that one...
Now If Shrub's people just try to tell the military that what Kerry is doing is illeagal, then you have a coup de ta attempt because unless martial law is declared the military doesn't have the right to act inside the borders of the US. (With the exception of federal land, bases etc...) He'd have to get the FBI, or Fed marshals to try and do something for him, but then it goes to into the court system, and thats all VERY public... They might not be able to pull his bacon out of the fire a second time and maintain their credability....
If Martial law were declared... that suspends things, and you're getting into legal waters that I'm not farmiliar with but I don't think the right would go for that situation.... Unless of course the Martial law was declared because of a "terrorist act".... (Which I suppose could be manufactured by those same grassy knoll guys....)
